LATENT SPACES

London, 2023

 A collaboration with the artist Markos Kay, Latent Spaces is an immersive exploration of Artificial Intelligence and humanity's collective unconscious. Located at Illusionaries in London’s Canary Wharf, Latent Spaces features expansive multi-channel sound design and music in four theater spaces and a corridor that connects the experience.

Formation Space (theater 1): Environmental sounds and liquid music elements depict the primordial watery world, a narrative of the emergence of life on Earth.

Complexity Space (theater 2): animals chirp and bird songs call-and-respond to music designs for the birth of never-before seen environments and lifeforms.

Corridor connects the theaters. This space features music from the Synonyms For Peace albums.

Agents Space (theater 3): the emergence of AI brings about a complexity that’s reflected by a tapestry of synthetic vocals and sounds of the natural world.

Breathing Space (theater 4): Sound and music elements are timed with the breathing of the creatures to facilitate a sense of calm in this contemplative room.
